DevilTax
Accounting Reimagined for the Creator Economy
Overview
The client
DevilTax represented a completely new venture – a specialised accountancy firm created to serve a new group of entrepreneurs, namely content creators and OnlyFans models. This niche client base faces distinct challenges that are often underserved by traditional firms.
At the heart of the DevilTax brand was a mission to guide these business owners towards smarter, more strategic financial management. I understood these clients required a personalised, approachable accounting partner to support their untraditional ventures.
Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, DevilTax works closely with each client to build their business acumen and plan for long-term financial success.
My role
The scope
My goal was to craft an effective, consistent brand narrative to help them pioneer a new market. The identity and website needed to position them as the accessible experts their clients could trust.
I developed a dynamic brand and website reflecting DevilTax’s hands-on, mentorship-driven approach. Moving away from dry accounting tropes, a fun, tongue-in-cheek aesthetic and tone-of-voice helped them connect with clients. This approach carved out a place in the market as approachable, empowering gurus their clients could depend on.

The logo
The devil is in the details
The client recognised the need for a friendly element that might help break down complex financial concepts. The logo incorporates a cheeky devil character who serves as an engaging brand ambassador, making accounting topics more accessible.
The winning concept
Making it pop
With the brand strategy in place, I translated DevilTax’s positioning into a visual identity.
The logo conveys a cheeky, knowing tone while feeling direct and modern. Custom illustrations, paired with a vibrant colour palette, give the brand a spirited, empowering personality – one distinctly absent from the stuffy corporate accountancy space.
Through our brand strategy work, I saw opportunities far beyond the website. Understanding the audience’s digital habits led to a broader vision—one where DevilTax could meet potential clients on their preferred social platforms, creating brand recognition through branded merchandise, and building visibility through strategic influencer partnerships. This wider vision makes for a stronger market impact.
This confident, no-nonsense style helps DevilTax feel trustworthy and approachable, breaking down the typical barriers between clients and accountants. The result is a distinctive look that resonates.
Building identity
Colour
To bring DevilTax’s brand personality to life, I developed a vibrant colour palette with a restrained usage approach. Bright, energetic hues are anchored by a moodier purple – striking a balance between playfulness and professionalism.
Rather than an overwhelming ‘circus tent’ effect, the brand primarily utilises white space and the purple as a foundation, with selective pops of colour. This non-traditional approach helps visually stand out the more staid accounting competitors, positioning them as a youthful, savvy expert with specialised industry knowledge.

Pairing fonts
Typography
I paired Kilimanjaro sans with Open sans to communicate DevilTax’s personality. The chunky rounded heading font conveys a friendly authenticity. The body text provides ledgability and scanability in large blocks of text.

Website design
With the brand identity in place, I translated DevilTax’s strategy into a user experience designed to engage, educate and convert their target leads.
The website seamlessly combines the brand’s visual personality – the illustrations, vibrant colours, and direct messaging – with a focused, intuitive information architecture. This allows DevilTax to efficiently guide prospective clients through the content and ultimately drive them to book a consultation.
